Quantica: International Journal of Applied and Computational Intelligence (QIJACI) is committed to publishing only original and ethically sound research. The journal maintains a strict policy against plagiarism in any form, including duplication, unattributed use of others’ work, and excessive reuse of previously published material (self-plagiarism).
Plagiarism Screening
All submitted manuscripts are subjected to plagiarism detection using standard similarity-checking tool as Turnitin systems. Authors are advised to ensure that their submissions are original and properly referenced prior to submission.
Similarity Thresholds and Evaluation
The journal follows a structured approach in evaluating similarity reports:
Above 25% similarity: Manuscripts will be rejected outright without further consideration
After Revision:
If similarity remains above 15%, the manuscript will be rejected
If similarity falls between 10% and 15%, it may be considered for review as a final opportunity
Acceptable Limit: The final similarity index must be below 10% for a manuscript to proceed to the peer-review stage
Self-Plagiarism
Authors must avoid excessive reuse of their previously published work. Any overlap must be properly cited, and redundant publication is not permitted.
Post-Publication Action
If plagiarism is identified after publication:
The article will be retracted from the journal
A formal retraction notice will be issued
The case may be reported to the authors’ affiliated institutions or funding agencies
Penalties for Misconduct
In cases of confirmed plagiarism or ethical violations, the journal reserves the right to:
Reject the manuscript at any stage
Prohibit the authors from submitting future manuscripts for a specified period
Inform relevant institutions or authorities for further action
Author Responsibility
Authors are solely responsible for ensuring the originality of their work and proper citation of all sources. Submission to QIJACI implies full compliance with this plagiarism policy.
