Research and Publication Ethics
Quantica: International Journal of Applied and Computational Intelligence (QIJACI) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and ethical conduct in scholarly publishing. Authors, reviewers, and editors are expected to adhere to the following ethical principles.
Originality and Academic Integrity
Authors must ensure that submitted manuscripts are entirely original and have not been previously published or simultaneously submitted to another journal. All submissions should be free from plagiarism, including self-plagiarism.
Any form of unethical practice such as data fabrication, falsification, manipulation, or selective reporting is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate rejection or further action as deemed appropriate.
Proper Citation and Use of Sources
All ideas, data, or text derived from previously published work must be properly cited and referenced. Authors are responsible for ensuring accurate attribution of all sources used in their research.
Permissions and Copyright Compliance
If any part of the manuscript includes copyrighted material (such as figures, tables, or extended text), authors must obtain prior written permission from the original copyright holder.
Submission of such content without appropriate authorization will be considered a violation of ethical standards, and the responsibility for any resulting disputes rests solely with the authors.
Acknowledgment of Contributions
Authors must appropriately acknowledge all individuals, institutions, and funding agencies that have contributed to the research. Contributions that do not meet authorship criteria should be recognized in the acknowledgment section.
Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools
The use of artificial intelligence tools in manuscript preparation must be transparent and responsible. In accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics:
AI tools (including large language models) must not be listed as authors
Authors must disclose the use of AI tools in generating or modifying content
The name and version of the AI tool should be clearly specified
Any sources referenced by AI-generated content must be properly verified and cited
Routine tools used for grammar checking or language refinement do not require disclosure. The editorial team reserves the right to evaluate the appropriateness of AI usage in submitted manuscripts.
Editorial Independence
All editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of the manuscript’s scholarly merit, originality, and relevance to the journal’s scope. Decisions are not influenced by the authors’ affiliations, nationality, or any external interests.
Post-Publication Ethics
If ethical concerns arise after publication—such as evidence of misconduct, errors, or violations the journal reserves the right to take appropriate action. This may include issuing corrections, expressions of concern, or retraction of the article, along with notifying relevant institutions or authorities where necessary.
Author Responsibility
Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their submissions, including the accuracy of data, validity of results, and compliance with ethical standards.
